Review Rice Protocol

Since it was first conceived by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, cryptocurrencies have attracted the attention of investors significantly. Until now, many investors have invested their money in cryptocurrencies. This study aims to prove whether the cryptocurrency market is efficient in its weak form and also to analyze the effect of liquidity on the efficiency of the cryptocurrency market. This study uses a purposive sampling method, so that the number of samples taken is 141 types of cryptocurrencies listed on coinmarketcap.com. The analytical method used in this study is the Ljung Box autocorrelation test and the runs test. The results of this study indicate that the cryptocurrency market is efficient in its weak form. However, the level of liquidity has no effect on the level of efficiency of the cryptocurrency market.
