The Lush Green Crop of Rice
It is the season of rice crop. Pakistani rice is famous worldwide and the pictures in this post contain the world's best Basmati rice. Punjab and Sindh provinces of Pakistan are rich in agricultural variety.
It's an incredible see of green. It won't be green for long because soon enough these plants will be ready to bear the grain. That's when they turn yellow and then golden with the valuable grain of rice in it.
My village is at the heart of the region famous for rice production. It is a privilege to see the sea of green all around. The sight is just amazing.
These are rice fields in the eastern part of my village, spread on both sides of the road. Greenery spreads till the horizon these days.
What crops grow in your region? Do you like plain fertile fields? What do you think about agriculture?
That certainly is a beautiful rich green. Basmati is my favorite rice. In England we seem to be growing less food and more bio fuel such as rape seed, which produces a sea of brilliant yellow flowers. Unfortunately it also produces a lot of coughs and sneezes... The pollen is really bad for hay fever sufferers.
