Friday Night Patch Notes!
Alright I made some big quality of life changes and even got another level arted out! The game is getting close to having all of its maps arted out.
4/4 Starting levels now are fully arted out
This is great news because it means I a little more than halfway done with level design art!
Warpath now has a secondary Fast Travel node that is closer to the final battle.
It was painful to see people repeating that entire level over and over again. Its a bit much for normal difficulty.
Warpath level has now been fully arted out!
Floating combat text has been completely reworked so that it greatly reduces spam.
Damage numbers consolidated. Normal damage, Critical damage (Head shots), Resisted damage and effective damage. If you fire a shotgun or something that fires a lot of bullets very quickly the one number will continually add up rather than spawning more numbers for each hit. On top of that each catagory of damage will fly a specific distance from the enemy in a very predictable mannor.
Note : The plan will be to customize this functionality further down the road.
Loot buble preview is now automatic.
No need to press E then Press R. You just walk up to a loot bubble and look at it to see its contents seamlessly. Then press E to loot all of its contents. If you only want to singular loot then press Tab.
Storage Box does not display a preview. Instead pressing E will open full inventory. Storage box now functions more like vending machines and Fabricator where you press E to open your inventory.
Pressing shift while dismantle screen is active will dismantle the item.
This will make dismantling a lot easier and faster.
Auto map changed
- Increased smoothness of automap updates considerably. (Its like butter now)
- Double tap the map button while map is out to make the map stationary
- Single tap the map button while map is out to remove the map
