World Domination Is Open Source : My Reply To @bania Decentralized City
There is a popular saying by Myles Monroe that goes like this
“The wealthiest places in the world are not gold mines, oil fields, diamond mines or banks. The wealthiest place is the cemetery.
There lies companies that were never started, masterpieces that were never painted… In the cemetery there is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential.
There is a treasure within you that must come out. Don’t go to the grave with your treasure still within YOU.”
We all have had dreams that keep us awake at Night, we lie there in bed and conjure up how far we are going to stretch our vision, but when the Morning comes we forget all about our dreams and go back to what we are comfortable with
Steemit is a Place that activated my Dreams and also introduced me to amazing people who have changed my life
Bania D-City
There are just two people who have ignited my mind on this Platform and gave me a new line of reasoning and one of them is @bania.
He is a remix of Aristotle, Einstein and Steve Jobs. Never in My Life have I seen someone so Young with a Great Mind. His dream to build a Decentralized City In Nigeria gave my Brain a Factory reset and made me rediscover what a meaningful life means
If you missed the Introduction post for the Project, you can Read It here
Jack Ma the founder of Alibaba Group, a family of successful based business knew nothing about the Internet when he decided to quit his job and start a Internet based business.
He called a meeting of his 24 friends and told them about his Intentions 23 of them told him that it was a Stupid idea, it was only 1 person that told him to give it a shot
When @bania shared his Vision there was a lot of negative comments that came along with it, of how it was Impossible or of how he lacked the technical know how and a wide range of other responses that he got.
The people who knew where he was coming from gave his Constructive criticism that is helping shape his Vision further . Jack Ma Said
I strongly believe that is not technology that will change the world. It is the dream behind the technology that will change the world. If it was technology that changes the world, I will not be here. I knew nothing about the computer and very little about the Internet. I had a Strong dream to help small businesses succeed. It is the dreams that drive the World, not only the technology.
Open Source Dream
Bania made a post yesterday, he explained the thought process that led to what we now know as d-city
He also made a Clarion call for people who can come in and help push the Vision, I will advice anyone out here on Steemit to read both the Introduction and yesterday's post to check whether there is anything you can contribute to the Vision
There are some kind of Opportunities that comes just few times in the Course of Ones life and d-city is one of them, and I can dare say that d-city is a once in a Life Time Opportunity. This is an Opportunity for you to become part of Something big and Life Changing
We are currently at the edge of Something big in the Worlds Economy. We have moved through the Agricultural, Oil, Internet revolutions and we are in the early stages of the Blockchain Revolution
I think that we are in a place where you either really know what is happening or you don't. Not abouts whats Coming or whats about to happen. It is about whats happening now and whether you believe in it or not
World Domination
From Zuckerberg to Jobs, a lot of Companies that have changed the world was started by young people who allowed their drive for change drown out every fear of failure. They were divergents who did not see the need to jump through hoops that society have put in place for us
They are the ones who did not let the doubts or criticism of others drown out their dreams
Remember that it’s far easier to stand back and criticize someone else than it is to put your own beliefs forward
Great post. The people who are in charge obviously don't want to see change. If the people have power and knowledge then they no longer serve a purpose and will be taken down. It's the same for government, banks, wall street. As long as they control the money and information then they can do as they like. Decentralization gives the people a chance to start new things and push in a different direction to what exists at the moment.
Thats right @niallon11
People who are in power never willingly relinquish it. Thats why dictators never step down peacefully.
The same goes with other sectors, especially in the Media.
Why do you think Television ads still costs Much while a cheaper and more effective social media can get the job done. I can't even remember last time I watched a television.
@ogochukwu
I only watch it for my live sports. Thats a necessity!!
Otherwise I set up kodi onto a raspberry pi and have all the programmes in the world for free without ads. I don't see the downside. So they might have to pay certain people less than tens of millions a year or give them a standard wage, ouch.
you need to find a construction company in Nigeria that is the most successful, and find their competitor, see if you can find a struggling construction company too and get them on steem and get equipment start small with a single house and keep going until you have 10..... you can become landlords and allow people to pay in STEEM dollars
OH and @fyrstikken said we can just sell STEEM DOLLARS for DOLLARS bro! let people use STEEM dollars as a way to get into crypto! people want BITCOIN just to get Into CRYPTO and Altcoins! so start selling STEEM DOLLARS for Cash when u need fiat... and when people need to buy bitcoin tell them to just buy SBD from you! and show them how EASY it is to trade the SBD for Bitcoin and any altcoin
ooooh bitcoin going down! bitcoin cash becoming the new bitcoin today! uh oh! ahahah fuck bitcoin bitcoin cash has lower fees its great now! it works now! fuck yeah! hahahhah steem will rise out of this! and EOS will reign supreme next year
steem is supposed to be at $6 next year according to Metacalfes law that says if we get 200,000 users next year we will be over $6
wow look at bitcoin just drop today!
@bania is a young Nigerian with a vision. A man with a vision is one to watch out for. I'm happy to see his project's first announcement. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'd say this again, the sky is his starting point. It's an amazing vision that he's got. I'm following the development closely. Gracias.
He has made the vision plain on paper, running with it will be easier @greenrun
@ogochukwu I agree with you.
I read this piece twice and I still feel like reading it once again. You are really a destiny helper. I bet you don't know the weight of things your belief and support from day one in D-City did to me.
I believe and know we are getting to this Canaan land together bro.
Thanks so much

Thanks for the UpGoat Boss, I appreciate
Thanks for upgoating this topic @bania
Welcome my bosses @greenrun and @ogochukwu
@bania you are most welcome
Amazing thoughts @ogochukwu,
Your opening quote from Myles Monroe completely nailed it! Dreams die everyday, and we shouldn't let ours become one of them. A good portion of the time that I want to pursue something that seems difficult or large, a bunch of people laugh at me. I don't have friends like that any more.
I decided to surround myself with people that want to see how I would go about my goals, check in on me, and cheer me on- knowing that anything is possible. It's interesting that you mention gate keepers, because they exist in video games too. Users that stop anyone from moving forward to a higher rank or level.
The funny thing about that is, by gate keeping someone else, you have to stay where you are and you can't improve either.
Thank you for clarifying the difference between types of criticism, because I actually didn't know what it was. Constructive is still believing in your dream, while just criticizing aims to kill it. Really puts it into perspective.
I'm certain that @bania will find a way, and thank you for sharing your insights with us today c:
All the best,
@shello
Hello @shello
I am glad that you separated your self from Vision killers, they are just toxic they have nothing to offer.
I am also glad that you know know what Constructive criticism, in what ever you are doing you need constructive Critics to help you refine your dreams .
Thanks for reading
