Review TV Series Orville Season 1 Episode 1
These are my toughts about the first episode of the first season of Orville. A new Sci Fy series.
I believe it is realy hard to mis the simularities of the series with other sci fi series. Even tough you want to see it as something on its own. The makers of this series realy did not mind looking at others and even blatently copieing. The originality of this is allready in the can after the first 15 minutes of the show.
Why you might ask:
- A robot looking like science officer (Data startrek tng).
- A super strong security officer (Worf startrek tng).
- The over qualified doctor (Beverly startrek tng).
- The ship has alot of similarities with the ori ship out of stargate atlantis.
The first plot line was so predictable that it became stupid. The first view on the main character is him walking in to his wife having fun with some strange blue alien. Guess who becomes his first officer on his first command? Yes you guesd it right his now EX WIFE. If this is how the show is built up i am sertanly doubting i wil keep on looking. And all the above was my experience the first 15 minutes of the show.
I wil not type in anymore spoilers but in my opinion it is a cheap copy of star trek the next generation.

Disagreed completly. The similarities with others series is so big that it becomes a copy.
Babylon 5 is a total original.
