Podcast Review: Getting Off Podcast

I am still a relatively new listener in the Podcast arena. I lean towards true crime and audio dramas. One recent find that I have binge-listened to, start to finish is called Getting Off(aptly named because the hosts are defense attorneys...also because they specialize in special crimes).

Hosts: Jessa Nicholson-Getz & Nick Ganser

Jessa & Nick offer a unique perspective on famous and less than famous criminal cases. They are a team of defense attorneys from Wisconsin.

They have covered notable cases such as:

• Brock Turner - the Stanford swimmer accused of raping a coed behind a dumpster. He was sentenced to 6 months & served 3.
• Aaron Hernandez - former NFL football player, multiple murder cases, committed suicide in jail
• R. Kelly
• the case that first floated in infamous “Twinkie defense:” Daniel White

There are many other cases covered by this dynamic duo. They handle difficult topics with a balance of humor and frankness that listeners find refreshing & enlightening.
