[Album Review] Linkin Park – The Hunting Party

in #review6 years ago

At first glance there is nothing strange from the album Linkin Park, still with their typically artistic coverage. But when entering solid discs Warner Bros. release. this, we will be surprised by the cries in the first track. For those who follow the last three albums, would be surprised with what is done Linkin Park on this album. However, this confusion will make the audience of Hybrid Theory album-which many left Linkin Park after Meteora-smiled. After one time playing this album, we will immediately understand what they mean, well Linkin Park again made a rock hard rock releases. Just as Mike Shinoda said, "We're 37-year-old adults making a loud record"

"Keys to The Kingdom" which was asked to be the successful opening track of The Hunting Party's manifesto as their most aggressive album. For the first time too, Linkin Park presents many featuring artist. There's a Hamilton Page in the song "All For Nothing", he sang in the chorus, and with a slow drum this number resembles the songs from his own band Page, Helmet. Then there are the veteran rappers who share Rakim mic with Chester and Shinoda. Rakim speaks out loud in rock music, showing his class as a senior rapper.

After passing the instrumental number "The Summoning", they present "War". The drum beats and guitar riffs are very punk rock, plus the title and duration, we will definitely compare it to Bad Religion.Ya, "War" can be said to be the most reckless number they ever created. Not wanting to lose track of the last albums, Linkin Park gives the feel of it in "Wasteland", "Until Its Gone", "Final Masquerade" -tiest "What I've Done" or "Burn it down".

The final number is in "Rebellion". Beginning with the beat of a speeding drum that resembles his "Set To Fail" Lamb Of God-but softer. In this number also feels bleak riffs a la System Of A Down. Though not Serj Tankian, the collaborator is Daron Malakian. In Shinoda part singing, feels hybrid disco and hardcore are harmonious. This number also has a special part for Chester shouted alone. Just like "A Place For My Head", right after the reff, Chester has room to scream as fast as he can.

The presence of Tom Morello in the instrumental number "Drawbar" is not surprising enough, for whatever reason included two instrumental numbers on this album, but "Drawbar" is definitely not interesting. This sixth album closed perfectly through "A Line In The Sand" a number that is quite aggressive, full of solo part, a successful long separation for 6 minutes 37 seconds.

This album is actually full of messages. Overall, The Hunting Party is about war. However, this is Linkin Park, which is enjoyed not from the content of the lyrics, but how articulation of music that is able to amaze.
