Heart: Maschine Software (Version 1.7)

Maschine Mikro comes with the latest Maschine software update, the version of Maschine 1.7, which has a couple of tricks up his sleeve. You can easily access the key features of the Maschine software, either using the shortcuts provided by the Mikro hardware controller or the mouse and keyboard.

The software allows sequencing by recording in two modes: MPC style, or XOX using the step sequencer. It offers all the classic Groove Box functions combined with the clip concept, which allows you to work with it intuitively. It also features the well-known Maschine sampling system and features such as 22 built-in effects and the ability to host VST / AU effects and instruments.

Maschine Mikro can record audio from external and internal sources as well as allows accurate reproduction of samples. You only need a sound card to experience the benefits of high-performance sampling. The only limit for the length and number of samples is the capacity of your computer's RAM. It also allows you to import your own samples: MPC REX2 programs and files. If you use the high-quality audio interface, sampling takes up to 24bit / 192kHz.

Version 1.6 already allowed the possibility of loading VST and Audio Unit plug-ins directly from the software interface. It was a major step forward for Maschine users who essentially transformed the software into a virtual plug-in server, while allowing to control the parameters of the favorite plug-in through the hardware controller.

Version 1.7 allows you to host VST audio units or NI plug-ins, and can also host VSTs from other manufacturers. In addition, it adds support for the Native Instruments Komplete 8 integrated preset system, so you can browse and load all the presets in this package of virtual instruments. This allows you to use an amazing amount of sounds in your Maschine projects.

Maschine Mikro offers 16 sound slots that are divided into two groups. Each slot supports four effects plug-ins and one instrument. So you can calculate the power you get when using Maschine Mikro as host. Plug-ins from Kontakt, Reaktor and Guitar Rig are included so you can start using the new accommodation option by the time you purchase Maschine Mikro.

In addition to all this, you also get the original Maschine library, which contains 6 GB of sounds. Allows instant access to any sound from the extensive library where there are 300 drum kits with 1400 patterns, 18,000 samples, 7000 individual strokes, 388 sampled instruments, 400 loops, 170 FX / multi-FX presets, 60 demonstration projects ... Practically You can get any sound you need. It even contains multiple samples of acoustic instruments: organs, strings, piano metals and more. Within that library, 3GB (more than 1000 sounds) come from the compiled elements of Komplete 8. So, whether you buy the original model or the Mikro, you will not be short on software or sounds.

The effects section of Maschine Mikro consists of 22 high quality effects from the classic effects like reverbs. Equalizations and filters give way to more creative tools like ICE verb, Freq Shifter, Grain Delay.

Maschine Mikro can be integrated with other music recording software. Your software can be used as a VST within the sequencer of your own DAW. MIDI files can be dragged and dropped directly to your music recording software, as well as you can take samples directly from your PC to Maschine Mikro. A single controller that is used to switch between the various Maschine Mikro windows that open inside the sequencer that you use as a host.
