Here We Go Again

Hello guys, it is me again Onion for another irrelevant post for today about an Anime that I had watched recently. Had you ever heard about Card Captor Sakura? Man, that Anime was a part of my childhood and since a new installation of the said series has been released(after a decade) this year, the nostalgia of the said series is real.

So I wouldn't be spoiling anything about what I had watched about the the new Card Captor because I really encourage everyone to watch it. And if even I want to spoil the whole thing is it would be really impossible for me right now because the whole season hasn't been released yet, up right now the latest episode released for the new Card Captor is episode 5, so there isn't much to spoil yet.

Card Captor Sakura is a Manga/ Anime that is produced by an all girl group of Japanese comic artists(mangakas) called Clamp. This Clamp group is really something to tell you guys, they created numerous series in paper then produced some of the Anime versions of them. Most of the time, the one making the comics doesn't produce the Anime even on the top notch Animes like One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and etc. The issue isn't really financially if you ask why, it is just a matter of skills, doing the comics while doing the Anime is really something.

As I said, Clamp is an all girl group of comic artists and producers that had produced a lot of content for the Japanese Comic and Anime industry, they are exceptional and really one of a kind. But what makes Clamp's works stand out than other comics and Anime is the multiverse that they make around their works. For example, Clamp's work titled Magic Knight Ray Earth has this character named Mokona(the flush toy above) which first appeared in that Anime/Manga had also been included into Clamp's other works like xxxHolic and Captain Tsubasa.

I think in being an expert in fishing and making fan followings Clamp is one of the firsts to do this in the Anime and Japanese Comic industry. Of course there are creators like Hiro Mashima(Fairy tale) that also did these kind of fishing strategy that keeps their fans interested in their works but Clamp did really well in this aspect. Whenever I read or watch a Clamp work, I always have this impression of this work is another different work but still is Clampish. It is like that you know that the drawing style and the portraying of the story is the same but it doesn't feel monotonous and boring, Clamp's works always has this fresh feel into it.

Through the years Clamp's style had remained relevant regardless of the cultural changes that took place in and outside Japan which is another thing that I find impressive about them. Many authors out there like Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro(Toriko) and Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter x Hunter) has those drawing styles that aren't as appealing as today's new styles. I love Toriko and Hunter x Hunter and even Togashi's Yu Yu Hakushu, during the time of their primes their art are acceptable and valid and most of their audiences are appealed by their drawings but of course the time has already changed and these kinds of drawings that they make already are starting to waltz off the scene. To cut it short here and to make a good conclusion of what I mean here, Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection doesn't only apply to animals and living things, it also applies to art and culture.

So Tell Us More About the New Card Captor Sakura but Better not Spoil Anything!

So basically the new Card Captor is the continuation of where the story left off from the previous one. After that confession from Lee Shaoran I always wondered what happened after that because the last scene of the old Card Captor is Lee was handing over his hand made Teddy Bear to Sakura which means that Lee likes Sakura, then the whole Anime ended. Really disappointing.

Then right after a new series came out, the whole love thing between the two became so direct to the point, as in on the first episode, Lee and Sakura are already in a relationship. Okay, I think the writers just want to settle that point out ASAP so the audience could focus on the new trials ahead. Well, I think that is good.

Now with the new series came off, the story will revolve around the mysteries of the Clow cards that has became clear cards, hence, the name of the new series is title Card Captor Sakura: Clear Cards.

Honestly, I can't ask anything more about the ongoing series(for now) because so far, the episode are running good( at least for me). But there is one complaint that always bugged me since I heard the news about this new installation of Card Captor Sakura. Why the F*** it took them over a decade before deciding to make an installation. Clamp had been involved into so many projects like Code Geass, xxHolic, Chobits and such after the first Card Captor Sakura... WHHHHHHHY...

Sometimes I just hate this authors because they release their works late. Well, Samurai Jack just had its ending last year too after a decade of waiting, maybe I just need to deal with this waiting more. Some how this just makes me feel wanting to live longer. Hope people can purchase extra lives in the future. God damn, i'll save up a lot of money for such commodities. XD

Well, that is for today's post, thank you for dropping by!
