“They Ain’t Gonna Get Me, That’s For Sure” – Tony, the Original King of Men

*** WARNING ***
Do Not Read unless you want some of the most beautiful cinematography segments you ever see, spoiled. Well technically we're only posting one major shot.

Demons is legitimately the best mash up movie of all time. It combines Night of the Living Dead with Dawn of the Dead and 80s music. Nothing we say here will do this film justice, without deep diving in to spoiler territory.

JUST WATCH IT.

We won't waste too much time on the plot here, we're just gonna gush on how fucking awesome this flick is. Believe me if you watch any movie we ever review, this is the one you don't want to miss.

One of the best things about this picture is how developed the characters are. We've touched on this before, how a world in which the movie takes place feels lived in.

With Demons this is accomplished without a large amount of screen time devoted develop the characters in the modern sense (i.e. multiple episodes resolving the trauma of a stubbed toe and shit). The Actors develop their characters by doing what they're paid to do, acting. Imagine that.

Every relationship, every conversation, every ambiguous hint at despair builds the framework on which this movie lulls you into actually believing you're there.

When a new batch of characters are interjected, you quickly understand who and what they are, and what's driving them. We have to stop there as eventually we would outline specific examples and ruin the whole movie if you haven't seen it.

The setting inside a movie theater was a great choice. It isn't the first movie to do this, nor was it the last, however in Demons, it really is the backbone of the story. Pay close attention to the movie, within the movie that everyone is there to see. In Demons there is a lot of questions that one can ask, even after multiple viewings.

Again desperately not trying to spoil anything.

Since we don't want to ruin the movie, we're gonna talk about 80's architecture for a second to pad out the blog. Isn't that fucking layout cool? You don't see shit like this anymore.

At the jump of this excellent review, we talked about this being the ultimate mash up of Night/Dawn of the living dead.

What does that mean pleb?

Well basically the thrill of watching the group attempt to survive/escape. The film does a great job at making you think anyone can die, at anytime. Fuck Game of Thrones, this is the OG fan favorite killer show.

“Hey Hot Dog, Next Time Let’s Rip Off A Ferrari, This Heap’s Got No Class”

Alright Fuck It we can't keep going on pussy footing around, just watch it.

FINAL WORD -

MRHELLBOX - Before I became a failed filmmaker with 0.5 movies to my credit, this was one of the major inspirations. Experiences like this are few and far between, please watch this tonight (its Saturday), or whenever you read this, watch on a Friday/Saturday night. Fuck watching shit on Sundays, cause Monday comes after that, and its a total buzzkill. - 5/5

Drunken Master - I wish we could have gotten a Ripper & Tony movie after this - They would make Scarface look like a bitch, honestly he is a bitch. - 5/5

Prince Pectorals - Spoiler

Most of the cast comes back in Demons 2 as different characters, Tony in this film runs a fitness center and is all about jacking. We love Tony. - 5/5
