WOW! İt's great to see I'm not alone in my love for Paul Verhoeven movies. I think he is the most subversive director in the mainstream cinema and if he gets total freedom from greedy movie studios he creates masterpieces (Total Recall, Robocop, Black Book, and the powerful satire, Starship Troopers) - "Elle" is a very special movie that portrays a very extraordinary woman and thankfully turns the so-called gender roles upside down ,and this happens very rare, but you know, this is Paul Verhoeven! You can't see a clichéd rape victim in his movie like you did numerous times before. This woman is very strong, she stands on her feet no matter what happens to her, never whines, she doesn't need a man to protect her, and just looks forward (of course, this NEVER justifies the brutal CRIME she endured) - Looking forward to read more from you!
