Destiny 2 Beta Review

So, as most of you probably already know Destiny 2 Beta was released a few days ago, and i thought it might be nice to have a review.

******POSSIBLY SPOILERS AHEAD********

Ok, so when i first downloaded the Beta, just like most people i was excited to have the game back that i enjoyed playing at first, hoping that they had made some changes to keep the game interested.

They haven't tweaked anything to do with the gameplay, however the story line has a nice twist in it, that i think will make the game a little interesting. The game itself and the main storyline though doesn't seem to have changed much, get her, dodge this, attack that, it's all pretty much the same. However, that being said there are a few changes. For instance they had added some new abilities to the classes that you all know from the original.

I have only played as Hunter so far on the new one, however the new ability on there has the potential to be a better fit and a more powerful fit for the than the original "Sun Bringer". The Beta itself consists of a Co-Op Mission where you have to defeat a boss enemy. It has the first mission from teh main campaign, which from the first mission, looks like it will be a good start to what will hopefully become another great game. Finally it also includes as most of you probably already knew, Crucible, which is the competitive Multiplayer of Destiny.

The gameplay is solid, multiplay hasn't really changed with regards to anything substantial, i think there have been a few performance tweaks but nothing that really makes a game changer. Campaign missions, if the first one is anything to go by, i think they have maybe extended the length for those slightly, as it took me a good 40 minutes to get through the first mission. Normally you'd expect to get through a mission every 20 minutes or so.

The storyline seems solid, graphics are similar to the first installment, but the new enemy, i'm not sure how they will tie in, or whether Bungie have been able to make an acceptable story line as to why we haven't seen them before in the previous game.
All in all, i think this will be another great game to add to anyone's collection, however you may want to wait a few months after release, if you're the type of person who likes to have a lot to do, as the first DLC is due after 3 months.

I think i'd give this game a 9/10 rating, it hasn't changed much from the first game, however the first game was a good FPS in the first place, i think they've added a few more puzzles and skill to this one, but it's still pretty simple to figure out, especially if you have already played the first installment.
