Suburbicon

That's the first film produced by George Clooney I watched. So... I'm impressed. It's hard movie and it left behind many emotions.

There is strange sensation of unreality of this world at the beginning of the film. I'm not sure I can say what exactly makes me feel like this. We see one small quiet town. People live there carefree lifes. And we have one thing "but". Hypocrisy on the persons' faces we notice in the first movie scenes. Oh.. Because of this sense, I mentioned above, feels absurd atmosphere maybe. They are smiling every day, have friendly talks. But they don't care when something sad happens. People say words of condolence only because they have to. Otherwise their mask would be broken. I never understand what advantages have place in a such lifestyle. Thinking about others' opinion about you every day can drive mad everyone sooner or later. Maybe I think about it because of Russian mindset, don't know.

The story have place in times, when racism prevails. Family of afro-amerikans comes here and their life turns into hell by reason of the motiveless anger of white neighbors. During the whole film I wanted to say them "What are you doing this? Why?". That desire was so strong so I felt some kind of helplessness. It shows good style of narrative which can make you feel any emotions, even if it's negative.

The same impressions I've got while watching the second and at the same time the main parallel story. There we can see that human is an extremely irrational creature in stressful situations. Huge mistake goes after previous mistakes and everything snowballs. The bottom line is that it is hard to stop where you stand. Otherwise you risk to do happening worse.

Producer used one simple trick well. This stories are connected by identical state changing of black and white families. There is difference between each other. One family tries to ignore happening. The second does exact opposite. Nevertheless they both have horrible consequences of their choices. There is no simple decision to get rid of every terrible situation and you have to live with understanding of it. That is life.

Eventually, I will add this film in the list of mustwatch. It has beautiful scenes which help viewer to know more about situation if he is attentive and can read between the lines. The story is cool. I think when you'll try to retell, it'll sound very strange, but it feels different while watching.

I told my thoughts pretty messy, probably. It's a bit hard to explain something on the language which is not your native. If there would be noticed some grammar mistakes write about it in comments. I'll try to correct it in future. Thanks for attention!
