Holy “Batman Ninja”.

“Batman Ninja” the most amazing movie I've seen for a long time. It’s that a kind of movie when after the end you sit and stare at the white wall and ask yourself, "Oh f...,what it was." And then you wonder if you should watch it again.

“Batman Ninja” is a Japanese animation about Batman, which will start seemingly quite interesting. History starts when due to Grodd's - the great super intelligent gorilla and Batman opponent, unsuccessful experiment, all the worst Gothom’s villains along with Batman and his friends, are transferred to feudal Japan. Because time travel is complicated, Batman goes to Japan last and realizes that the villains have arrived there two years earlier and divided the fighting provinces of the country. Each of them aims to unite all Japan under their power, although the Joker is closest to it. It sounds a bit idiot but still within the limits of what the viewer, especially the animation, based on the comic, transferred in the style of Japanese anime is able to bear.

Only then ... then the train leaves by Batmobile. There will be spoilers, but it's cool - in production that does not make sense, even knowing the plot is not a problem. For example, at the very beginning Batman decides to pretend to be a Christian missionary, for this he cuts out the tonsure but leaves a Batman sign on the top of his head. So in this movie we have Batman with tonsure and Batman sign. But this is one of the less ridiculous things in it. What is the most ridiculous? Probably the moment in which each of the villains castles is in fact a huge robot that throws themselves into a fight with each other under Mount Fuji. But not soon afterwards, it turns out that all these fortresses - what a surprise - can be combined into a great robot (in the end in Japan everything can turn into a big robot).

How will Batman beat the big robot? Well ... good this is the moment when you have to fasten your seat belts and promise that you will not get off while this Batmobile goes to the land of absurdity. Well, Robin and his monkey friend will play on a special flute, to which a million monkeys warriors will come running, which together will create one giant samurai monkey. But because they can not do it themselves, the bats will also join the samurai monkeys (they are special ninja bats), they will create a great fortress consisting of several other fortresses - a Batman (which looks just like a classic Batman from comics). So my dear, at some point in the movie, the big robot fortress with the balloon head (on which the Joker's face is painted) fights with the great Batman made of monkeys and apparently fireproof bats. And all in feudal Japan. INSANE!!!

At the end, Batman is having an amazing fight against Joker's with samurai swords - which of course ends with his victory, because Batman is a real ninja, which means that he can train bats so that they fit exactly into his shape. Apparently "Batman Ninja" sounds better than "Batman, a surprisingly effective trainer of bats and monkeys". In the end, Batman wins as always.

Interestingly, the movie features a whole ninja clan who tells Batman all the time that they have been waiting for ages to see a dark warrior dressed as a bat who will bring peace. They even had a special mask for him. And plenty of weapons, costumes and trained bats (this is clearly the hobby of people dressed in black). Does the story wherever it explains where the prophecy came from. No. Where did the belief of the feudal Japanese come from that they would be saved by Batman? How did they know what his mark looks like? Do you think that a movie that has a travel time thread will tell you anything about it? Nope. Apparently, someone recognized that in the genes of all nations of the world there is a longing for Batman and that's all. You were expecting a twist plot, and there are only monkeys twisted into Batman.

There is also a thrilling moment, drawing with completely different line about the fact that Joker, due to a huge explosion, completely lost his memory and became an ordinary Japanese peasant who is happy that his flowers grow. Batman does not kill Joker nor does he bond him because why, since he clearly became a polite peasant, and as Batman claims, "I'm sure he does not pretend". Of course, Joker is back with his crazy plan. Is our big ear ninja wrong? But no, Joker simply introduced himself into self-hypnosis, from which he plucked out those blooming flowers that he had previously planted and watered with such stubbornness. Crazy plan. Satan's plan. Let someone find the writer and push him with these flowers for punishment.

"Batman Ninja" would be only a proof that even if Japanese animators try to draw a monkey is a always look like great robot. But I have to be honestly it is such a beautiful animation that I have not seen for a long time. Seriously, almost every frame of this animation can be turned into a beautiful freeze-frame and put it on the wall. The ideas of the animators to rewrite the costumes and the well-known accessories of the heroes for the style of old Japan are perfect. Batman's costume - especially when he decides to wear Japanese armor, is beautiful. Combat sequences are also excellent - not where the big monkey / bats are fighting with the mechanical fortress, but the ones where Joker and Batman clash among the flames on the Japanese swords. Smaller action scenes are also great, and even showing how old Robin or Poison Ivy would look like in old times. It's really incredibly nice to watch (visually) animation, which delights with the perfect line and ingenuity of the creators. It is totally completely senseless, and at the same time - so beautiful.

I do not hide - sometimes watching movies I want to say "Everything has already been." But something like that has not happened yet. I do not have much hope that it would ever be. Although - there is some strange joy to watch a movie, which scenario evidently got lost somewhere along the way. Besides - apparently no Japanese animation, even if it happens in feudal Japan, can not be played without the big robots. I think animators draw big robots and then everyone wonders where to put them. This is a movie like a caricature of Japanese culture - if it were not drawn by the Japanese themselves, we could easily say that someone decided to mock all anime traditions from the beginning of time. No less - I have fun. This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen for a long time. But I will not hide - when I looked at the big Batman made of bats and monkeys, I could say with a pure heart "This has not been yet". And that's something.

Nice review

But noticed you hardly read other steemians blog on steemit and make comments.
Try to go through posts in the #review, #movie, and #anime tag.
Your review write-ups are wonderful, well articulated, just a little more engagement through comments will give you the attention and audience you need for your write up and most especially your flashback posts as it will give them the opportunities to share the opinion.

Thank you for advice. I will try to read more other steemians post.

Aaaa hahah!!!

It sounds like Power Rangers meets Batman meets Back to the Future. And maybe not in all the best way.

Still I think it maybe entertaining. I'll check if it is on Netflix!!

Thank you very much for the review!

Peace

I looked forward to this movie so long after it got announced. And the whole thing started off just as hoped. As you mentioned the artwork and interpretations of characters are beautiful. But I lost my enthusiasm when the giant robots came into play. Maybe I have to re-watch it with a little more open mind and just roll with it...

This production have very high absurdity level. So sometimes it can be hard to watch it.

When I watched this one it was such a weird experience lol, I mean is not a bad movie but seen Batman going full japanese was amazing and weird at the same time, I don't know hwy but I felt a little down that Godzilla didn't made a cameo or something lol

Hahah exactly it would be full Japanese, but transformers are good enough as well.

Batman putting on Japanese armor? Batman made of bats and monkeys? LOL If nothing that I would want to see this animation because of these two features. I like when the nations don't take themselves too serious and can make a little joke. It looks like Japanese succeeded in that.

I like the photos that you shared. The animation looks very good. Isn't Japan all about futuristic features? I think this is why they include robots everywhere :) But I don't mind.. it's kind of their signature :)

Thank you for your great review! I will try to convince my hubby to watch the animation with me ;)

My first thoughts about this animation was that it’s too crazy and ridiculous but it was worth to watch, I had a lot of fun.

I liked reading you, because it's good to see the different points of view. However, mine is the opposite of what you say ... I did not like this movie at all. The only thing I can rescue is the animation ... in fact, I saw her with friends and they hate her more than I do ... I hope my words don't bother you

No, everybody have right for their own opinion. It’s good to discuss different points of view.

you're right. If we all had the same opinion, the world would be at peace. But the reality is different...
