Over the past few days we have been given some titles of different racing games that belong to varying degrees to simulation games category. Earlier this month, we got Forza Motorsport 7 and we got the Gran Turismo Sports, but we noticed that in all cases, the different types of simulation games and how realistic they are, we always compare to one game that many consider to be the most realistic simulation game, regardless of the fun side. That game is Project Cars 2, which was released on September 22.

Although after the date of issuance of the game, but as we mentioned a reference is inevitable to refer to him in any simulation game coming and then we had to come to review, whatever the timing.

We saw the first part of the game in 2015 from the developer Slightly Mad and with the second part we noticed a lot of changes in the method of play but it is not great because the developer as usual preferred to focus on improving aspects of simulation.

This means, of course, that the game does not fall under the category of conventional racing games, it does not include regular street races with luxury cars of the type of Fast and Furious cars, but always keen to provide official races in the official tracks assigned to them.

The game will not give you the experience of adventures and police chases as I used to with the titles of racing games such as Need for Speed, etc. On the contrary, the game will literally exaggerate the degree to which you are punished once you get out of the way or disturb any rule of the race. As I mentioned to you just getting out of the way will cost you a penalty so that the next player allows you to exceed you for 30 seconds. Full immersion will happen to you once you can control the car inside the game, especially if you are trying the game through virtual reality glasses supported by the game with a full Racing Setup steering wheel and switches.

This may not be a sufficient goal for you but it is enough for car enthusiasts who will be keen to invest long hours in the profession to open a new road, a new car or a different kind of racing. Only those obsessed with these simple details. Or indeed complex. Each car has a different style. In terms of control and stability on the ground and the strength of the engine and how the interaction of that car with the different racing methods.

Never underestimate those details because you will suffer a lot if you do just try to understand the difference between each car and the other through repetition and error. Especially as the biggest challenge in the game is to control the stability of the car, which varies from the degree of difficulty from one car to another and increase the difficulty when controlling the car by hand control.

But the developer will not leave you here too. It provided a period of training before each new career race as well as options to help with game mechanics, car stability control and balance.

Such assistance is necessary if you want to start just moving by car because most of the cars in the game are racing cars with a high rate of acceleration to reach high speeds from zero in the shortest time possible, which loses the car completely steadfast and makes it revolve around itself by pressing on Push forward button. It's the perfect simulation, my friend. So we agreed that some assistance such as Stability Control and Traction Control should be broken.

But there are also aids that lose you almost the fun of the game (there is no fun in this game .. sorry .. it's just suffering) and make you uncontrolled such as opening help with steering the car or pressing the brakes. I think the game is not geared to the kind of audience that will open this aid especially as it will lose the game its distinctive identity.

The developer has put all its focus with the new segment on providing a broad simulation experience that changes with each car, road or racing type. We can not deny this, but immersing in realism and simulation has made playing in the profession or artificial intelligence generally very difficult. The rigor of implementing the sanctions on the slightest mistake and the presence of a car near you always and forcing you to slow until you get through that car made it impossible to regain your rank or advance in the centers. Only because of one error in the first race will slow your speed, and beyond you the next car that will not rush to do so but programmed to be slow while you bypass to avoid colliding with you, and then your line has affected your position and the center of all behind you all, Race, makes re-race at any fault is the best solution.

It has come to my preference to play online (because it is more fair) than to play against artificial intelligence. Graphics

Maybe I'm fed up with this introduction but as I told you more than once this game puts the simulation in the first place. So we can not pretend that the game graphics have exceeded the first part much. Especially if you know that the graphics of the first part were very impressive in the design of cars and visual effects (and sound) as well as ways to the degree that can not be further improvements at least in the current generation. This seemed clear in the design of the public, for example, as it was not the best yet it is still very good and realistic.

Conclusion

What we can say is that this game is the best simulation game that has been introduced this year for many years and will remain the primary reference that any simulation game will compare to whether it is Forza Motorsport 7 or GT sport. But being a simulation game has been described as a "game" so that it has become a simulation only, which has led to high difficulty in controlling the car, but the developer has given you the freedom to control the amount of simulation you want by opening or closing the help options Load control to adjust the car's balance and stability to focus on the road and its curves.
