BLOG 147 : REVIEW MOVIE : The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones
I first watched this movie because there was actress Lily Collins - this is my favorite Hollywood actress ^^ This movie, is a good quality movie and a thrilling plot.

The success of The Hunger Games is rare, because then the failure of the Beautiful Creatures or The Host. Most recently, The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones -is my favorite movie

The Mortal of Instrument is Cassandra Clare's teenage fantasy series. The book has been released five volumes and is prepared for the sixth book. City of Bones is a film adaptation of the first volume of the series. The story revolves around the school girl Clary (Lily Collins), living with her mother Jocelyn (Lena Headey) in New York City, suddenly one day, Clary constantly draw bizarre symbols unconsciously shocked her mother, That same day, Clary witnessed young blonde Jace Wayland (Jamie Campbell Bower) kill another man in the middle of the nightclub, but it seems only Clary has One day later, the mother of this beautiful girl was kidnapped by evil and Clary was fortunate enough to be rescued by Jace.

It is from here that she is revealed that her mother is actually a Shadow Hunter - a demonic warrior trained to defeat monsters, just as Jace had killed in the nightclub. Clary also inherited his mother's abilities and was placed in the Shadowhunter Academy. She is introduced to other young hunters like Alec (Kevin Zegers), Isabelle (Alisha Heng) and leader Hodge (Jared Harris). Along with the Shadow Hunter and his best friend Simon (Robert Sheehan), Clary seeks to explore herself and find her mother. She is said to be in Valentine's hands (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a powerful but cruel Shadow ..Actress Lily Collins features British beauty impressively, while Jamie plays Jace as a charming character.
The film also has beautiful scenes, techniques, with magnificent castles or impressive spells.^^

Great post! I really liked this movie, as well as the Netflix series. The books are ok, but the writer bounces around so much it can be hard to get into, and to follow I found. I wish the movie did better, but they tried to cram the first couple books into the movie and really did not do it justice in my opinion. The Netflix series has moved through it at a better pace, but not many TV series are as good, and extravagant as a movie can be.
Okay, you got me hooked. I'll have to watch it now. Thanks for the review.
