Jesus in the Book of Revelation: I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. Revelation 22:16

Jesus in the gospels is presented to us in a mysterious and difficult way to interpret, as "son of man", a title also used to mentioned the prophets Ezekiel and Daniel. In the doctrine of the Kingdom of God, just as men must seek the righteousness of God (the man became "son of god") because only God is good; this righteousness, in another way, is personified in Jesus (God became "son of man). That is why in the Gospel of John, there are seven affirmations about the "I am". The Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, has a double meaning, one ethical and the other theological.
In the Book of Revelations written by the apostle John, we see some affirmations about Jesus, our Lord is not only the personification of all eternity, that is, the simultaneous possession of all time, past, present, and future: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" Revelation 22:13; but also the personification of all hope and spiritual guide, by affirming the book about the true nature of Jesus: "I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star" Revelation 22:16.
With these teachings, the New Testament teaches us that we must seek Jesus above all things, Jesus is our hope, in him all the messianic prophecies are fulfilled because he is a descendant of David; and also Jesus is our guide, he must be present in us like that morning star, the planet Venus, that in ancient times was used by the sailors to guide the ships to a safe harbor.
Because also with this what the sacred scriptures teach us is that God is present in all the perfections that we observe in the universe, that is why faith through knowledge must be transformed into security or trust in God.
