Atari Jaguar is the black sheep of retro gaming, but that's also what makes it fun. This looks a little bit like Jackal (NES) from the screen shot. Is game play comparable to that?

I had a Jaguar for a while but got rid of it. It had a few really good games but not enough to make it worth keeping the system (for me anyway).

This is a vertically scrolling shooter where you are flying a ship. I think Jackal was ground based wasn't it? There are some superficial similarities but really different types of games IMHO.

Nice post. I've been out of the emulation game for a while - what is the state of Jaguar emulation? Is it possible to play any of these on our PCs these days?

Virtual Jaguar seems to be the best Jaguar emulator around at the moment. Last update was 2014 as far as i can tell but it has decent performance and compatibility.
