Nights into Dreams was a highly rated 3D action game for the Sega Saturn (but alas was not enough to keep the system competitive with the PlayStation). It was later also released for the PlayStation 2 (Japan only), PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows.
Other interesting tidbits:
A special abbreviated Christmas version titled ‘Christmas Nights’ was released in December 1996.
The original Sega Saturn version came packaged with a special 3D controller.
The sequel, 'Nights: Journey of Dreams' was released for the Will in 2007.

I had the PlayStation instead of the Saturn when it came out but I did eventually pick up a used Saturn years later.
