If you just look at the first image, do you not see a connecting chain, with the resteem logo on it?
Work on that idea.
Make it a bit less abstract, so that anyone could notice it.

Something like that, yes.
But it must look connective and not restrictive (cuz chains can also be associated with prison)
It should instead bring thoughts of communication and blockchain.
Is that hard to make?
I am not a designer, so I don't know.
Circles represent a community, in this case a community of resteem's surrounding Steemit. I am not sure I can represent a blockchain without using a chain.
I don't know how either.
Just think of anything that connects people and put a resteem logo on it.
