DESTINY DEFINED

Destiny is God's purpose for a man's life. It is a divinely pre-planned destination and designation in life (Jeremiah 1:5). It is the totality of God's counsel for a person and what God has decided concerning him even before he was conceived (Isaiah 25:1; 49:1; Ephesians 1:4). The destiny of our Lord Jesus Christ, was clearly defined (Matthew 1:21, John 18:37). The plan of God for man is good (Jeremiah 29:11) but it is subject to our attitude and agreement with God (John 15:5). God destined Abraham for greatness (Genesis 18:17-18). Samson's divine purpose was to deliver Isreal from the Philistines but he did not achieve his destiny (Judges 13:5; Judges 16:30)
