Listen, the feed is really your way to control what you see. I often follow someone only to realize that I only am interested in 10 % of their content, or that their articles are great but they resteem alot.
Unfollow these people. Its not offensive, but only you control your feed. Many, like @paulag, recommend following less people to get a tighter and more specific feed.
Also, keep this in mind for every resteem that you do! I sometimes resteem as well, its hard to resist with some great posts!
You might also consider using busy.org. It is a different visualization of the same sight! And they separate the resteems from the personal posts, like a double feed.

i do write loads of times on busy.org but i did not know they split the resteem. When people i follow resteem i do not mind because many times it is where i have interest for as well. But like this morning :-o And i thought i write it like this than he knows anyway why he has a follower less.
