Steemit is a platform that welcomes everyone from all parts of the globe to a focal point of sharing Ideas, making amazing and influential contacts, above all crowning the efforts and contributions with financial benefits and payouts.
As many would know, Bloggers and Social media platforms seem to be on the spike as the day unfolds, lots of people striving to make their thoughts and voices head irrespective of what they have to say, quality or no quality, educative or not.

But then in as much as the need to interact with people is of an unquestionable relevance, the sole aim of every individual on steemit is definitely for profit making. Bullshit to anyone who says he is not interested in the profits but just for the fun of steemit, as paradoxical as it sounds the irony about profiting so much on this platform rests on the bossom of the ability of any individual to interact and spread forth his tentacles across to the members of this vast community.

The first and foremost welcoming milestone that every active steemian experiences in the first few weeks on this platform is the challenge of having an audience, of which still remains a problem to some even after a while. The issue of having a vast audience ready to view your content that was time consuming and resource consuming (i.e internet) remains the principal goal of every post, irrespective of how quality filled or interesting your post may be if you have little or no one to view it, you can say the post is next to nothing but a personal decoration of your profile. The more your post is visible to others ranging from minnows, dolphins or whales the more you stand the chance of getting upvoted and comments on your content.

The question now is, how then can I get a vast audience to view my content, how can I connect with more steemians on this platform, how can I get more upvotes and comments on my created content irrespective of the field ???
These are questions that almost always runs through the mind of every new member of this awesome blockchain, and yes they are the right questions. The good thing is the answers are every where, with the few simple tools and guides if properly applied, you could be at the peak of making the most of interaction and profiting from this platform.

Use of Appropriate Tags

Just in case you never knew tags are one of the most crucial and vital keys to getting more viewers and upvotes with the proper post. Each tag in steemit is its own community. Every tag stands as door or a gate to its own venue, a specific location with a specific culture. It serves as a pathway to direct your post to a certain set of contents: It shapens the nature of your post and the mindset of the viewer before going through your entire content.

images(2).png

The most vital information you should know before making your choice of tags should rest on the knowledge that your first tag is the most important one on any content you publish. It serves as the gigantic billboard you see on the road that tells you about a certain advert before going into details. It serves as the pivotal description of the idea behind your post, it tends to direct people on what to expect the very moment they decide to click on your content. Take for example a "fun" tag, the mind is already geared towards going through a humorous or social content that is related to something funny.

Before you choose to post into any tag, take a little bit of your time to research on the posts related to it, the kind of people that post there, the focus of the tags and their point of view.
Ensure that your post properly fits into the category of the tag you've chosen, so that your post does not appear like an Alice in Wonderland
Ensure to do a proper research on posts that rhyme with the content you are about to publish; and you must know this little secret to search through all of the promoted and trending tags and strive to combine your post both for largely used and also for the smaller tags, because the bigger tags have more viewers and comes an unforeseen disadvantage of more competition for a new member. Strange as it sounds, you tend to expand your horizon of friends and followers when you use smaller tags.

Importance of the Resteem tool

What does it mean to Resteem, and Why do I have to Resteem???.
What are the benefits of Resteeming ??

First things first,

What does it mean to Resteem

Resteeming simply put is a way of rebroadcasting any content you find really interesting to your network and share amongst people of common interest.
On a social media platform it could be likened to the share button on facebook, the retweet button on twitter, it's symbol appears close to the upvote button or close to the comment button pending on the device you're using either a P.C or a mobile phone.

Can someone really get curation rewards by resteeming a post ??, basically when you choose to resteem a post, it means you've chosen to publicize that post as one of yours, and at such it appears on your own personal profile blog posts. You don't stand the chance of getting any percentage at all from a resteemed post, well unless you upvoted the post and obtain some curation.

Why do I have to Resteem ??

Resteeming someone else's post is more like advertising or extending the persons content to your own followers to, so as to spread the potential of the posts views, this is a general fact.
The resteem tool serves as a potential growth medium for newbies, and who are still with little or no followers. If they should get the opportunity of having their post resteemed by another steemian with much more followers, they are indirectly favoured not in terms of having a share of the spoils i.e SBD or SP, but this exposes the content to a greater audience who might be interested in it and may decide to follow that individual pending on the nature of the post and the idea behind it.
Hence the whole point can not be overlooked, resteeming to newbies from someone with a higher reputation and followers is more like a great favour.

But also as a new steemian, if you choose to resteem the post of an already existing member, may not necessarily be an already existing member though, but it could be a post with of high content and from a steemian of good reputation, indirectly you are also exposing yourself too, and this could possibly increase your followers.

As a point to note, for everyone who choses to use the resteem button, always strive to constrain your resteems to posts that are kind of similar to your contents. If your focus for example is fun posts, comedy, humorous memes, don't go ahead to resteem a certain content on cryptocurrencies or even politics because it sort contradicts your area of focus and expertise. You must always remember that the people who gracefully decided to become your followers made that choice for a certain reason which may be based on a certain post of yours that they really enjoyed the content or based on the information they enjoy from your shares. So always strive to keep in line with what you're devoted to publish or share for others to see.

Lastly, we must all remember that moderation in everything in life matters. Choosing to resteem is good but if all you do is to resteem other people's post without really taking quality time to create yours is a bad omen for you. because in as much as you do have followers trust me they are following you and not your resteems, unless you're some sort of bot or postpromoting scheme who focuses on resteems, then there's a need to moderate the level of your resteem and take some quality time in developing a sound post of rich content.

Profiting from Curation

Curation Rewards?? What is it??
This is in simple terms the reward you receive when you upvote a post on steemit. A certain percentage of the general gains accumulated at the end of the specified period esp 7-days goes to all the curators. What??!! So what the hell, why aren't people always upvoting rather wasting much time in creating nice contents.
Actually the truth is, it is one thing to vote and it's another to have a high steempower while voting, in other words if your voting power is next to nothing you also get nothing no matter how much upvotes you give.

source

Hence the key to obtaining curation rewards rests on the bosom of a person's voting strength and steempower, this means that there's a need to grow ones steempower and preserve the voting strength of every steemian on this pplatform in order to profit to some extent from every upvote. For every post, a minimum of 50% goes to the author of the post at the end of the day, while the rest belongs to the curators.

So the prevailing questions remain,

  • What does it cost to vote???,
  • Why can't I just keep voting and earn major SBD's, and SP's???,
  • How can I get a high voting strength and Steempower ???

Basically it costs absolutely nothing to give an upvote to any post whatsoever, only but your available time to spend on steemit.
Why the hesitation then, why not vote all day and earn all day; Unfortunately voting comes with and inverse downturn in voting power, which decreases your curation rewards every vote (although it seems to be every 5,6 or 10 votes) apparently it's beneficial to vote at least 15 times a day.
On the other hand the voting power or strength is automatically regenerated every 5-days.

What then is the Best way to earn by voting?

When a content is posted on steemit, the author receives 99% of the curation reward for the next 15-minutes of the post, then afterwards for the next 10 -15 minutes again, about 50% curation rewards also goes to the author. It's only after about 30-minutes of a post that one can potentially gain major curation rewards of about 98% from any post at all.
The ideal situation for maximum rewards is voting on a post that is at least 30 to 35 minutes old, which has only 1 or 2 votes from the content creator and ends up making a massive payout of about $100. This is not always the case, hence it is advised to take some time and search out for quality content filled posts before upvoting so as to stand the chance of gaining a little from curation rewards.
Note that at the end of the first that minutes maximum curation reward goes to the very first five curators to that post, but this has proved to be a very difficult task if one has the view of wanting to be among the very first five to get such reward on every post that is some seconds above 30-minutes of age.

The best plan so far to sum up every detail is to try as much as possible to go through quality posts before venturing into giving an upvote in order to avoid upvoting spam links, as an additional one could also join curation trails of which they are many on steemit, and if you are really committing so much time here on steemit try to upvote about 10 posts everyday just maintain a high voting and Steempower.

The Influence of Quality Comments

Generally in life it is known that an entity is defined mostly by the sound it produces even before it is seen or no more in sight.
We can easily identify a cow by its mooing sound with blindfolded eyes even before doing it, we can easily recognise the sound of an aircraft moving at supersonic speed with a Mach-No > 2 even after it must have passed us. Likewise it is on steemit, immediately after you are known for your quality posts the next voice or platform of recognition lies in the soundness of your comments.
Comments invariably serve as a pathway to success on steemit platform, they directly serve as medium that connects us to the author of the content. Hence it is sacrosanct to always maintain a strong relationship with the blogger and indirectly draw the attention of other viewers.

IMG_20180415_044301_252.jpg

Just like the sound of a cow is known everywhere in the world, this was only possible because the very first cows that lived and the ones still living were persistent on making the same sound in all seasons.
This is also 100% similar to commenting on steemit, you need to maintain an around consistency in quality commentaries and interesting contributions to posts in such a manner that whenever someone accidentally bumps into one of your lines, the legacy of quality always speaks for it.
It is important to note that the first comments to every post usually gets more recognition when compared to the last in case of many comments.
But this is not a go ahead to writing garbage on any post just in the bid of becoming the first to drop a shitty note, you should at least take a little time to go through the post, absorb the idea that the author is trying to pass across then you can leave your comments.

Either you believe it or not, real time followers can be gotten by quality and interesting comments, because it kind of gives some reasonable amount of payout. Just to clear your doubt, I for once have seen a whole lot of comments with payouts that are far higher than my official posts and blogs, hence commenting is also a very profitable way of earning if properly organised.

The need to Connect via Social Media Platforms

Steemit is a social network that brings people together into one wonderful community and to think about growing higher and making progress on this platform without properly socialising with some of its members is completely unthinkable.
Especially for the new members and also likewise to the old members oblivious of this simple fact that the more you're able to maintain a personal relationship with your fellow steemians, the stronger and more informed you become.

It's not all about making quality posts, post-promoters or bots, resteeming, or even commenting. Most times it is easier and better to exchange knowledge and learn one more friendly and sociable platform, a proper look at the design of the steemit website tells you that for some reasons there's no provision for exchanging contacts or private medsages directly to every user. But this can be achieved on several social media platforms ranging from discord channels, facebook groups, twitter and the rest. If you are not yet part of any, I can firmly suggest the following for you that are really quite helpful, interactive and educating.

Discord Channels

-Steemit School
-Peace Abundance and Liberty
-ADsactly
-Steem Repo

Facebook Groups

-steemit world
-Team Steemit
-Steem
