Atout - a dempsey dinning experience

Atout - a restaurant situated at Demsey Hill Singapore @ 40C Harding Road

Atout is french for "Trump card"

My experience there was mixed. But that's maybe because it was my first time there, and did not have the right expectations.

My starter as shown above was scallops done in orange sauce. It was delicious... I love it.
My friend had sausages with quinoa which I think it not as exciting - for me at least....

Now, for the main course, I had the rabbit/mustard stew. It was nice, but the portion is probably better to be shared by two persons instead of being consume by one... and we didnt order bread, so the sauce is kind of wasted.

My friend had the Duck confit... I tried the skin on the duck and the taste was fantastic... I think much nicer than the rabbit. Then again, the two dishes were so different from each other...

The two of us finally think the restaurant is geared towards sharing of food rather than a dish for each person.
So we ordered one dessert to share. I must say their dessert is one of the best ones I've tasted in a while.

Will I go back to Atout again? Probably, but my ordering mechanism will be more "chinese", order a bunch of stuff and share like Family Style.
