A Day to Rest

More and more we do not seem to have a day to "rest". It feels as if we are just playing catch up, and the rest day has become a day for: -

• Doing the rest of the laundry
• Doindgthe rest of the Housework
• Doing the rest of the shopping
• Doing the rest of everything else that hasn't been done.

On a side note: I am aware that the day of rest was not originally Sunday, but has been moved to Sunday (not the subject of this blog).

A day of rest is also important for loosing weight, training, and ensuring that you don't fatigue mentally. So remember that rest is not a luxury, it is part of the program.

I hear far too often that a change is as good as a holiday (rest). My response has always been give me the holiday, and the only people that say that are the ones that haven't had a proper holiday.
