Looking For Some New Blogs To Follow? Here Are Some Of My Favourites
It can prove difficult finding blogs that consistently provide great posts, especially when you are investing a lot of time into creating content yourself. I thought it would be a great idea to share some of my favourites from a number of different categories, with the hope that the community will use the comments section to provide me and anyone viewing this post with suggestions on blogs that I may have overlooked.
The recommended blogs will be in no particular order, and the list may be updated throughout the next 24 hours if I realise I have forgotten anybody, or if I learn of any other good ones through the comments.
Art
@rigaronib posts some great digital art and design work, typically on a daily basis.
@kaylinart is a regular poster, with a lot more than just art to offer.
@askinya is an exceptional artist. Recently she has taken up digital painting and the results are stunning.
@rubens9119 is fairly new on the scene, or at least I have only discovered them recently. Their artwork tends to have a deeper meaning to it and the execution is on another level.
@edgarsart has only recently appeared on my radar with the fantastic tiger drawing he did. He is a committed artist with a lot of patience, which translates to hyper-realistic drawings of immense quality.
Writers
@ericvancewalton is probably known by everybody on the site by this point. But I thought I would still share his profile for any potential newcomers who haven't had the pleasure of coming across him yet. A terrific writer who delivers consistently, and based on my own observations, he is also a very nice and very generous person.
@ezzy has a terrific ongoing series named The Symbiotic Protocol which you will enjoy if you are into sci-fi.
@spark is another one that I have only recently discovered through the Fiction Frenzy project, but his writing is of a high standard and he shares stories here on Steemit.
@johnjgeddes is another that I was introduced to through the Fiction Frenzy project. They are a terrific writer and a very frequent poster.
Humor
@lordvader is a perfect example of what Darth Vader would be like if he came to Steemit- only funnier.
@mynameisbrian is another who it took me a while to discover. He produces hilarious comics and is also a prolific poster.
@nikflossus may not be a comedy writer per se, but his How to Learn Russian series has certainly provided me with a fair few laughs.
@papa-pepper is well known on the platform, but for any that are unaware of him many of his posts can provide some laughter.
@stellabelle has some very funny posts and is a very active member on the community.
@the-oracool is a very new account that answers anonymous questions put forth by the community, typically in a comical fashion.
Science and Philosophy
@thecryptofiend has a new post every night which usually relates to science or philosophy. Their posts are always interesting and well presented, and if you are a fan of discussion then jump on one of their posts to find usually some very insightful conversation.
@krnel is another one who is most prolific, posting usually a minimum of three posts per day. There is once again scientific and philosophical posts, and I would also consider this blog to be a rather good source of current news.
@dwinblood often provides pieces that will get you thinking, and should you invite them into a discussion they will offer you their full attention, with very long, thought out comments.
@doitvoluntarily I have only recently had the pleasure of discovering. But their posts are well presented and they also provide some up-to-date news that is important but neglected by the mainstream media.
@dantheman is one of founders who does not post very often, probably because he is working on bettering the platform for us all. But, some of his posts are very helpful and thought-provoking, more often than not having philosophical and moral applications.
Truth
@ausbitbank is a good blog to follow if you are looking for truths that you will not find on nightly news. Was the most vocal in regards to issues pertaining to pizzagate, and frankly I think he and his like ought to be commended, because it was this persistence that has led to a huge amount of children being rescued from child sex trafficking rings recently.
@eddard is Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell from Game of Thrones. This blog exposes truth and gets discussion going, often in a funny manner.
@thevoiceofreason shares interesting YouTube videos and usually shares their opinion on them. This is a good blog to follow if you find you are someone who enjoys watching conspiracy theory videos and the like.
These are a few of my favourites, though I know I will be back here many times to add more as I wrote this off the top of my head. If you have any you would like to add, please share them in the comments and be sure to include the type of content they post so that others will know whether to check them out.
I really agree on the @regaronib mention! :)
D'aaawwww :)
Yeah, I made the humor section!
I'm just about to post a humorous one now.
And, for anyone doubting my humor skills, try to watch this without laughing.
I hadn't seen this one.
I really cannot tell if you are a comical genius or if I am just a dirty bastard, but the vocabulary used throughout this video is fucking legendary.
Thanks for this list. Will be following :-)
Great people, will make sure to check I know them all by tonight
Thanks for sharing!
Bless you, my friend. Thank you so much for your humbling comments! :)
I put you on there by accident. I meant to write @eddy. That guy's blog is fantastic. Check it out!
Lol, of course! The famous @eddy! Apologies for the confusion... :)
thx for the mention!
No problem. Thanks for providing good content.
This is a great list. Thanks. I am already following some on this list, but it's great to hear of new ones. I, too am working on a list of sorts - but it's more of a visual compilation/collage of some of my favorite posts (art & poetry, etc that I've found) I'm still working on it - it might be a while -as I am putting links to each of the original posts! (I might be crazy!) lol Lots of scrolling back & forth! I'm wishing there was some sort of way to bookmark posts...
I have given you a follow so I can check it out once it's ready. Sometimes I wonder how much great content I have missed, as posts don't have much of a shelf life on Steemit.
OK - here it is... That took forever! lol There were more things I wanted to include - but didn't seem appropriate after my collection sort of took on a theme. I had some difficulty uplaoding some of the photo collages that were too large in size - so I had to omit a couple images, too. (shoot!) But, it seems like a good first attempt. Let me know what you think.

Duuude, I am incredibly honored! Thank you so much, man!
Lol. No problem.
Great idea! You just gave me some great blogs to follow!
And thank you for including me!
