On Fat and Fasting - by Dr. Caryn Zinn [Research]
Dr. Caryn Zinn, a registered dietitian and a lecturer at Auckland University of Technology gave this presentation at Low Carb Down Under, which was posted on their Youtube channel this February.
As per LCDU:
"Her current research (and that of her students) includes applying the Low Carbohydrate, Healthy Fat (LCHF) nutrition paradigm as a tool for losing weight, improving health and optimising sports performance in a variety of different population groups." [source]
Mainly she discusses the difference between a carbohydrate based metabolism and a fat based metabolism. One is the different metabolic and hormonal context. For example, when one is on a ketogenic diet strictly for a couple of weeks, hunger decreases because leptin, insulin, ghrelin, CCK, and other modulators have a different output compared to a higher carbohydrate diet.
When the body is able to efficiently derive energy from endogenous substrates, such as when fat adapted and (at least) slightly calorically restricted, one does not experience 'hangriness' or irritability that are so often associated with hunger and fluctuations in blood glucose and insulin levels.
And that's one of the reason for which people on a strict ketogenic diet find it so easy and convenient to implement fasting, either intermittently or prolonged. These and similar ideas are discussed in Dr. Zinn's presentation.

This is really good fact, I love this especially when it comes to healthy matters.
@cristi, so eating food too often can stimulate or increase the level of hunger
Also I used to be afraid of strict diet as it can lead to ageing of the body or what did you think about this?
look into the ketogenic diet
Alright thanks
