Social capital is very closely related to a credit rating. My follower count and in spite of an early flag fight with Bernie my rep score show something like what Charlie talks about. I don't know how accurately such things can be quantified, but they can be somewhat quantified, and like credit ratings, the score decays towards neutral given enough time.

Sort:  

I like the idea of social capital = credit rating. Because, like credit rating, social capital is very dynamic, and it's based also on what you do, not only of what others think you do.
