Replicant 6.0 released

I just learned that the Replicant project released version 6.0 of its fully free smartphone operating system yesterday.

Apparently, this doesn't only make me but also Richard Stallman very happy.

In case you're wondering: Replicant is a fully free operating system for smartphones. This article tells you a bit more about the project in general and why I think it's very important.

The most important change is probably the fact that Replicant is now based on LineageOS instead of CyanogenMod, which can be considered to be dead. A complete list of changes is available here.

Writing free firmwares and drivers is a very hard and tedious task. That's exactly the reason why there still isn't native Replicant support for many internal wifi chips. However, workarounds such as using external wifi dongles do exist. Are there any other Replicant users here on Steemit?
