I think people are too concerned with what they are instead of what they are good for or what they want to be good for.

There is some of that. Getting too fixated on any one thing can really limit our world. So yes people do get fixated like you describe, and they likely miss out. Yet other people also get fixated on other things. It can be tough to avoid, and really the only people that can stop that from happening is ourselves. :) Thanks for the comment. I like it.
