Saint Francis and modern day Friars.
Saint Francis of Assisi, born Giovanni di Pietro di Bernardone, informally named as Francesco, was an Italian Roman Catholic friar, deacon and preacher. This is a man who truly was a humble servant and follower of Master Jesus.
R.I.P. 1183 - October 3, 1226
He is known for preaching to the birds and animals and whoever would listen.
He would go where others wouldn't dare to share the good word. He visited those with Leprosy, a flesh eating disease that was said to be a curse from God. A contagious disease that noone dared to go near.

In order to open a new church you needed the Blessing of the Roman Catholic Pope. Brave Fransisco went and was approved and opened his church.

The City of San Francisco, California is named after Saint Francis
The story of Saint Francis is definitely inspiring and does deserve a second look. A great story about a humble priest that just wanted to help people.
