Inspired by the sc-fi novel Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlien

Church of All Worlds - Is a Neo-Pagan religion recognized by the IRS since 1970.

Stranger in a Strange Land
It’s a sci-fi about a human baby being abandoned on Mars alone and being raised by Martians. These Martian had superior mental powers and a grasp on the “real world” humans could not even begin to comprehend. After simply thinking the humans gone they disappeared and the Martians were left with one baby. It was human’s first trip to Mars.

They raised this baby in their own belief system which allowed him to also have superior ESP. He could eat anything and control objects with his mind. Human’s eventually made another trip to Mars once this boy became an adult. They were surprised to see him alive. This time the Martians allow the humans to leave with the human they raised and gave the knowledge of their powers to. His life on earth is what the story is all about and the people who are impressed by his powers begin following his religion. They also learn to use their mind to achieve greatness.

I remember reading the book many years ago. It was inspiring but I didn’t realize it had become a recognized belief system.

Religious Founder
Timothy Zell, who later adopted the names Oberon Zell-Ravenheart and Otter Zell, was born on November 30, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mission Statement:
To evolve a network of information, mythology and experience. To awaken the divine within, and to provide a context and stimulus for reawakening Gaia and reuniting Her children through tribal community dedicated to responsible stewardship and the evolution of consciousness.

CAW is comparable in ideals to Witchcraft, Wicca, Shamanism and most other religions that do not worship a single all powerful god.

So what’s it really all about? What are they trying to achieve?
To help humans reach their full potential magically and psychically.
To have an eco-psychic relationship
Establish of feeling of belonging to the tribe.
Celebrate life and never death
Awaken Gaia and save the planet from destruction.
Be excellent to each other.

Oh and they are horny. They promote polygamy and unprotected group sex with it Nest members as the ultimate sign of trust. They have documents all about condom use and sharing lovers.

(A nest is a small group follower living in a tribe like mentality, comparable to a church but smaller and much more intimate.)
