Today I would like to look at Proverbs 3 verse 11 to 12
11)"When the Lord corrects you, my son, pay close attention and take it as a warning.
12)The Lord corrects those He loves, as parents correct a child of whom they are proud."
When a parent corrects his child, he does it to teach and educate the child. God does not correct us or punishes us, because He likes it, He does it because He cares for us, and He wants to show us the correct way. It is difficult to know when God is correcting us, we sometimes only realizes it some time after the fact, when we look back at situations that happened in our past. We must however know that God is the source of love, and we must trust that God knows what is best for us and that He will show us the way.
