Today I would like to look at Proverbs 17 verse 5
5)If you laugh at poor people, you insult the God who made them. You will be punished if you take pleasure in someone's misfortune.
There are few things that is as cruel as to mock and humiliate people who are less fortunate. People do this to feel better about themselves. When we humiliate others, we actually humiliate ourselves and insult God. We must remember that God made everybody and all of us are His children. We need to love and respect all people. God will punish those who humiliate less fortunate people.
