Today I would like to look at Proverbs 11 verse 25
25)A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
The world teaches us to hold onto what we have, but God teaches us to give to others in their need, and when we do this He will Bless us. When we give we are no longer slaves of our possessions, but we will discover the pleasure in helping others, and on top of it we will receive God's Blessing.

Well stated. One of the main blessings that God gives us, when we give, is to be reminded that it all belongs to Him anyway - freeing us from becoming "slaves of our possessions", as you say. Thanks for the reminder. :)
