In His Quran:

The Prophet (SAW) explains the beauty of the recitation,
“The likeness of the believer who recites the Quran is that of a citron, the smell of which is good and its taste is good,
The likeness of the believer who does not recite the Quran is that of a date, which has no smell but its taste is sweet,
The likeness of a hypocrite who recites the Quran is that of a basil, the smell of which is good but its taste is bitter,
The likeness of a hypocrite who does not recite the Quran is that of a bitter apple, which has no smell and its taste is bitter.”
(Sahih Muslim H.1860)

This Hadith shows that the one who recites the Quran benefits by it and his status is raised as he recites, like the Prophet (SAW) said, “Allah raises some in status because of this Book and He lowers others because of it.”

(Sahih Muslim H.1897)

A high level of consciousness can be reached for the sake of our Creator by being attached to the Holy Quran. The Prophet (SAW) said, “The one who recites the Quran and he is proficient with it, then he is with the noble and blessed Angels.”
(Jami at Tirmidhi H.2904 Sahih)

Talking about Angels, a lengthy Hadith speaks about Usaid bin Hudair who recited the Quran and Angels descended upon him whilst he was reciting the Quran, but when he stopped his recitation, the Angels disappeared back in to the sky. Usaid bin Hudair said they looked like lamps in the sky.
(Sahih Muslim H.1859)

From this we can see that the one who recites the Quran is heard and listened to by the Angels. This is an INCREDIBLE honour and Mercy from the All-Mighty. He has given us basic ways to become closer to Him and earn Reward. The Prophet (SAW) said, “Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward for it, and the reward of ten like of it …”
(Jami at Tirmidhi H.2910 Hasan)

The Prophet (SAW) mentioned the value of learning or reciting two verses and used it comparing it to receiving two large she camels for free. This was an extremely valuable asset to have in the time of the Prophet (SAW)
(Sahih Muslim H.1873)

Attachment to the Quran makes you the best of people as the Prophet (SAW) said, “The best of you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it.”
(Jami at Tirmidhi H.2907 Sahih)

However, the ultimate Reward and benefit for being attached to the Quran is that it will intercede for you on the Day of Questioning, the Day of Reckoning. There are many authentic Ahadith that speak about the Quran being an ENORMOUS benefit and relief in the Hereafter.

We cannot stress upon ourselves more regarding this. Every Muslim has to be attached to the Quran.

HOW ?

You can read a few verses a day

You can listen to a few verses a day

You can memorise a few verses a day

You can be the one who perfects the Arabic recitation of the Quran and memorizes all 114 Chapters

You can be one who listens to recitation by various different readers of the Quran. This will causes variation in your recitation and is also proven to be the best way to memorise the Quran

You can be the one who learns the Arabic Language and translates the Quran from cover to cover

The list goes on …

There is no rush for this. The Prophet (SAW) received the Quran over a period of 23 years. The idea is to involve ourselves with the Quran somehow every day by reciting it, listening to it, or translating it.

I HIGHLY encourage anybody, no matter what the age to teach the recitation of the Quran and the Arabic Language if permission has been given by those who taught you.
