The Final Word, Chapter 8

"Allow yourself to invent yourself", the world says, but the individual, baffled by the command, says "Let go of me! Let go of me, you world! I have discovered something sinister within you! Your march towards death does not impress me, and I'm not moved by your command of sacrifice!"

The individual stands alone, bounded by a theology of the world, that tries to bound the individual to the world. Every morning, every day, the self travels from today to tomorrow. Sin is the institute of the world, so defend yourself from sin, if you want to be truly free. A true individual is free from sin, free from wants, free from desires, free from the world. It is your divine duty to have only the Highest in your mind, for He is the only way to become free.

To break the bond of the world is to become truly free, and the freedom the world offers returns the individual to his desires. That is the only way the individual can fit in the world. What the highest expression of the Highest represents is the true expression of the individual. Whenever one breaks away from the world, one services Him in His values, and His highest value is freedom itself.
