The Final Word, Chapter 2

Socially, we are broken. We do not have anyone looking out on our behalf. But don't be deceived! When compared to the Lord of Worlds, what after all is the behalf of mere mankind? Is it not like dust in the wind, blown here and there by forces he cannot comprehend?

Is the confirmation of salvation not what stands in front of us, and worldly passions merely at our side? Should justice and His divine way not come before all that we know, and have known our entire lives? After all, what good can goods do in the light of the living conscience of the Lord? What good are our small desires, in light of His way, His eternal will, which is to our desires what the roaring sea is to a mere grain of sand?

Come! I will show you the gate! The gate is the cross, and the temple shall be your salvation. All I ask of you is a clear conscience and a pure heart. Let your soul be cleansed, let your worries and jealousies wash away by His living presence. All I ask of you is clean hands and a pure soul. Then, you can be in the presence of the living Lord of Lords.
