Prayer is power made available on demand. You need to place a call through if you want to really be heard. You have to both trust Him to do what’s best and also ask Him because God says, ”Before you call on me I will answer, and while you are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Matthew 17:21 (AMP):
But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
James 5:16 (NIV):
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Your requests are there waiting on when demand would be placed on them. Imagine the man that was bedridden for 38 years. Jesus had to ask him what he truly wanted and he made his request. The moment he made it, Jesus made him whole. The story of the man defied science because for someone who hasn’t walked for 38 years to jump and start walking without staggering or feeling cramps on his muscles that hasn’t been used for years, shows God makes all things possible. This is indeed my year of covenant possibilities because I am placing my calls through and I will have more than I asked for.
God can defy the odds and even logic over any situation you call Him to. If you are to add to your dimension, then you need to add to your prayer life. There is a realm where secrets are revealed and this was why when Daniel prayed, the secrets of what the king dreamt about was revealed to him. Elijah prayed earnestly that it won’t rain for 3 and a half years and it didn’t. He prayed that it would again and it did. There is a place where things happen. Prayer is the place where things are birthed, we only need to conceive it in our hearts and have faith for it. There is nothing that increases the activities of angels on earth like prayer.

That sounds good but Jesus doesn't perform miraculous healings today. All prayer is subject to the will of God. So if you have enough faith you can move mountains but only if God wants those mountains moved.
I don't believe that James 5 applies today. We can confess our sins to one another but that doesn't mean that if we have cancer that we'll recover. Or if we have kidney disease like my first wife had that we won't die from it when we're 30 years old.
Yes, Elijah was a man like we are but he had the power to perform miracles that we don't have. When he kept it from raining for 3 1/2 years it was because God wanted it that way.
Because you haven't seen God move in a way before doesn't mean He can't and won't.
