RE: The Women of God

in #religion6 years ago (edited)

Its very important to hold to the Word of God so that we dont twist the truth that we have been established upon through Christ, and we must verify such things according to the scriptures.

Stepping back and looking at the big picture; Mankind (both male and female) is like unto Eve(woman)... And Jesus is like unto Adam(man), yet where Adam failed and gave into sin, Christ did not, and remained sinless to His death and resurrection even for eternity to come.

1 Corinthians 15:45 So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.
47 The first man was from the earth
and made of dust;
the second man is from heaven.

Christ payed the dowry (which was His death) for His marriage (unification) to His church (all believers both male and female), His people, His love, His bride.
When it comes to spreading the gospel, we do nothing. But by faith Christ spake for us, and through us. The apostles continuosly reassured us of that.

Galations 2:20 i have been crucified with Christ, therefore it is no longer i who live, but Christ lives through me. And the life i now live in the flesh, I live by faith to the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

According to Gods Word, speaking is not permited for women in the church, women are to be silent in their role in the church and if they need anything they are to speak to their husband (whether it be a man or directly to Christ). They are to know what needs to be done and act accordingly not needing to speak a word.

1 Corinthians 14:34 The women should be silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak, but should be submissive, as the law also says. 35 And if they want to learn something, they should ask their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church meeting.

When Eve(mankind) enticed Adam to sin, he could have denied, but he respected and trusted in the woman that God made for him out of his bone and his flesh, and so he also became a sinner like Eve(mankind). And for that they were both cast out... Which is a prime example of why women should be silent when it comes to the church because they are far to influential for men to over come their desire to please them...

1 Corinthians 7:32 I want you to be without concerns. An unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord. 33 But a married man is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, 34 and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or a virgin is concerned about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 Now I am saying this for your own benefit, not to put a restraint on you, but because of what is proper and so that you may be devoted to the Lord without distraction.

Men have a natural urge to please women, and women entice men to act in a way that they would not usually act. And even though men can be foolish, women are supposed to be faithful and meek in their actions, subserviant to God, and if they're married be subserviant to their husband.

In Exodus 4:24-26, Zipporah (Moses' wife) saved Moses by her faith... Because Moses did not fulfill the covenant of Abraham by circumcising their son Gershom, the Lord God came to kill Moses, so immediately without speaking or being told what to do, Zipporah took a sharp stone and circumcised their son.
Then all she said to Moses was "you are a bridegroom of blood", which was acknowledging him as her husband before the Lord, sparing him from death by her faith...
That was a foreshadowing of:

1 Corinthians 7:13 Also, if any woman has an unbelieving husband and he is willing to live with her, she must not leave her husband. 14 For the unbelieving husband is set apart for God by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is set apart for God by the husband. Otherwise your children would be corrupt, but now they are set apart for God.

I understand that coming at this issue from a feminist approach can lead to some twisted idealism about men.
So the fact of the matter is... Men do not "crave" to rule over women, they desire to rule for women, to provide for them and please them, because men are more concerned with pleasing their woman and making her happy rather than pleasing God. And a woman would be more concerned about pleasing her man rather than pleasing God.

Sort:

I wrote a whole book on the issue of hierarchy in Christianity, including in-depth analysis of the "women be silent" passage which is NOT a law from Moses but from the Talmud. Paul is quoting the people he's refuting, not ordering women to be silent. How could Paul overturn what Jesus taught about "not so among you"? How could Paul tell women to prophesy and then to shut up? How can any Christian wish to retain flesh-based entitlement over other Christians? To interpret the NT as teaching male preeminence is to defy Christ and make Paul a self-contradictory rebel.

Disregarding the pejorative "feminist" for the moment, rest assured that I am not advocating any softening of the Bible's actual teachings to the church. Twisted is what people do to Paul when they make him a misogynist or even just a sexist. God is still not a respecter of persons; flesh is nothing. Yes, men do crave to rule, this is what you're proposing. Changing "over" to "for" is doublespeak.

Here is the link to my book: http://books.fether.net/index.php?theBook=NIC . And by the way, Eve never "enticed" Adam to do anything.

I looked up your book already... No offense but they're terrible.
You have some very dangerous views as a supposed "christian" woman. Its written that pride comes before the fall. Most "christians" are anything but Christ like, thankfully there is still time to turn and be saved by the Truth.

My book is the Word of God, there's many good, truthful, informative books within it. So when youbget the urge to speak out refer back to the Word and consider Christ before yo cause people to fall victim to your begilment. You have quite a few books and that's troubling

Thats why women shouldn't be open about their opinions as believers in Christ, because they are more inclined to follow the begilment of deceitful idealisms much like feminism... Causing them to go against their better judgement.

Gods Word is sufficient for all things. All this uncomformity towards God will only lead you to further deception.

Men have a natural urge to desire the truth, but women have a natural urge to do what pleases them even if it may result in dire consequences.

Adam was enticed by Eve. There's no doubt about it. I consider my words carefully and hold to knowledge of God, it is not double speak.
But you can believe what ever you want to believe. Receive correction or not, its your choice.

Considering women prophesying. In the end times it is said that they shall, but prophecy is speaking Gods Word, Gods proclamations for His people... As far as women writing books and speaking their OWN mind and opinions directed towards the church, that should not be happening and is a disgrace to God!... It's apparent by your writings that you are not prophesying, but are proclaiming your OWN ideas and opinions that are not scripturally based in truth.

Your comments are what's "terrible". Patriarchy and male entitlement are in sinful opposition to Jesus and the teachings of the New Testament. Don't lecture me on "natural tendencies", you're only proving my point again. Now get off my comment section, sexist.

im not sexist whatsoever... In fact you shouldn't be pointing fingers as to who is being sexist.
The equality that you want has already been established and we've been given our role which is made known through scripture.
I already understand that man and woman are all equally one in Christ Jesus.
The weird thing is that you dont see that, which i am not pushing my own opinion on you, i'm just reffering you to the Word that you should hold to it and not stray away from it, running ahead with your own biased opinion. Because in your mind you think there is a separation, when in Truth we're all speaking the same Word.
Matthew 19:4 “Haven’t you read,” He replied, “that He who created them in the beginning made them male and female,” 5 and He also said:

“For this reason a man will leave
his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two will become one flesh?

6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must not separate.”

In the beginning when God made "man", He made "man" male and female. Woman didn't exist until GOD separated Eve from Adam, women are bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.
Male and female doesn't even exist when we are in Christ, we are together as one, we are "man".

Galatians 3: 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment. 28 There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, MALE OR FEMALE; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

Getting into further texts like The Gospel of Thomas, it goes to say that women will not enter the kingdom unless they become like unto "man".
The way you become like "man" is through marriage... The good news is that we are all grafted into Christ through marriage... Not a worldly marriage, but a holy marriage, a reunification of man, woman, and God.
