About the Bible -- The Holy Spirit Shows Us the Way
"Christianity is not a religion. Religion is humans trying to work their way to God. Christianity is God coming to humans through a relationship with Jesus Christ" -- Author unknown
The Holy Spirit shows us the way. So does the Bible. I left all religion in the past but my childhood memories of Jesus' discernment arose at a crucial moment in my life. A little line from the Bible stayed with me and popped up just when I needed it --- and I was reborn with the Holy Spirit.
Now, as I continue to read the Bible (KJV), it validates the truths the Holy Spirit revealed to me soon after being filled by the Spirit! Vice versa, the Holy Spirit validates what I've read in the Bible. To me, this is the proof I need that the Bible is divinely inspired -- i.e. imbued with God's Truth.
The Bible is a highly sophisticated set of instructions for those who are open to find their creator. There is no doubt in my mind that it is history now. It is also obscure and unbelievable enough to escape Satanic destruction because it deters souls who might not ready to find God or are antagonistic to Him. A little like plausible deniability (on the part of man, not God). That said, some recognize the Bible's power and want to ban it or produce mistranslations that alters certain tenets.
I've come across a few mistranslations so far (in the NIV, not the KJV) which the Holy Spirit rebukes (i.e. strongly criticizes).
Some interpretations imparted to me by the Holy Spirit are not what is taught by the major, common churches. Luckily, there are a few pastors, obviously inspired by the Holy-Spirit-filled, whose teachings also resonate with the Spirit's recognition of God's truth. Maybe some teaching will stay with their congregation when they decide to graduate from religion.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
