There is another story about a little girl and Jonah that hopefully will put a smile on your face:

Each Sunday a little girl would walk down the block to Sunday school carrying her Bible. On the way, she would pass by a professor who sat on his porch reading the newspaper and smoking his pipe.

One Sunday the professor, who was an atheist, called out to the little girl and said, "Little girl, you don't really believe what is in that book do you?"

She replied, "Yes sir. I do."

He responded, "You can't possibly believe that Jonah got swallowed by a big fish?"

She said, "I do sir."

Challenging the little girl the professor said, "How do you know that it is true?"

She answered, "One day when I get to heaven, I will ask him."

He quipped, "... and what if Jonah is not there?"

The little girl replied, "Well then sir, you can ask him!"
