Why is my Spirit so Downcast and Why are our Spirits so Downcast

I must first of all welcome @hyperfundit and his group to steemit, that's just the spirit, the spirit of oneness. You are all welcome my good friends.

You will agree with me that the beginning of any event is usually greeted with much enthusiasm. One is always anxious to achieve some good results. One is also always anxious to create an impact, a lasting impression, to set a record that has never been created by anyone before. A record which could be recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. But no sooner than one started, one discovers it is not easy and this is where dragging of feet sets in.

Dragging of Feet from where to where?

Sometimes diminishing returns sets in, in some of the things one does in life but what matters most is how you pull through when it sets in. When diminishing returns sets in, one begins to drag feet to an extent that if one is not careful at this stage the tendency is for one to call it quit. It is only those who remember that quitters never achieve or win that brace the situation and forge ahead. A you a quitter in steem it matters. If yes why should you quit when there is very right light at the end of the tunnel? Write like you have not written before, as if you have just joined steemit. Many people are moving their groups from other platforms to steemit enmass and you who is in already is dragging feet. Why? It is said that one does not know the value of what one has until one looses it.

It is at this stage that we sometimes take actions that are detrimental to ourselves and others. Such decisions sometimes include self-abandonment, reckless abandonment, playing of games with something that will be of immense benefit to us in future, name it. Self-abandonment is when we completely surrender ourselves to a desire or impulse; exercising lack of self restraint and disregard to the spirit of perseverance. In fact, this is a time when we ignore our feelings most and turn instead, to addictive behaviour. We should then realize that we are again abandoning ourselves to self-pity which was not necessary and healthy for the achievement of good and fruitful results. Once one abandons oneself, it makes it very easy to project this self-abandonment onto others and feel abandoned by people or even by God.

The above can be likened to what is happening to so many steemians these days. Have you asked yourself why your spirit is so down cast these days as David had asked in Psalm 42 of the Holy Bible. According to Samuel Smiles, L.L.D., we are supposed to have hope, when he said "Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us".

Are you strong enough to blog these days, say the truth and if not why? The price of steem had dropped, isnt it? I tell you of a truth, do not give up hope. Keep the flag flying for what seemed impossible now will become possible tomorrow, for I can see and envisage that price of steem will sky-rocket beyond man's imagination.

If you believe this, steem on and never give up, for soon and very soon, you will begin to reap the fruit of your labour. This prayer of course, is for those who continue to sow. Those who sow in due season will reap bountiful harvest. Remember that there is time to sow and time to reap, if you do not sow now when will you sow, what will you reap at the time of harvest. Do not forget that everyday is not Christmas. There are ups and downs but it all depends on what you make out of the situation.

Wishing those whose spirits are downcast because of the fall in the prize of steem, a strong spirit which only God can supply, for when it is hard, the tough keeps going. Sow now that you have the rains, so that your yields during harvest period - when steem must have sky-rocketed, will be plentiful.
