FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is the act of pardoning an offender. literally means “to let go” as the Greek translated forgiveness Biblically.

God loves us so much,He provided a way for us to be forgiven, and that way is through Jesus Christ.
Jesus confirmed that in no uncertain terms when he said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
God's plan of forgiving mankind was to send Jesus, his only Son, into the world as a sacrifice for our sins as Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, Ever since, humans have been disobeying God which has led to sinful nature of humans.

God commands us to forgive, we must make a conscious choice to obey God and forgive. The offender may not desire forgiveness and may not ever change, but that doesn’t negate God’s desire that we possess a forgiving spirit .
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you(Matthew 5:44).

"And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins"(Mark 11:25)

"And forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who have sinned against us"(Matthew 6:12)

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
14"But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins"

Ideally, the offender will seek reconciliation, but, if not, the one wronged can still make a decision to forgive.

God is willing to forgive our sins if we confess our sins.
Now we know God forgives freely anyone that comes to Him, but if you are not a Christian or are very new to the faith, you may not know how to receive forgiveness.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"(1 John 1:9)
