Christians today have unfortunately become a painless generation. They have very little capacity to endure times of difficulty. They assume that faith must be utilised for personal and material benefit alone. But by faith saints of old dwelt in caves, went hungry, suffered persecution and matyrdom. Suffering is a syllabus for every true saint...so learn to suffer well.
