During the last glacial period, when two MILES of Ice sat on Chicago (sigh..those were the days)....mankind most likely inhabited the continental shelfs. The sealevel was four hundred foot lower then than it is today and we don't really know what's out there.
What we do know is that when the ice melted it was a very BAD DAY. It was a extremely traumatic period, fraught with catastrophe and danger. It was, in all reality, an Apacalypse.
It drove humans insane.
We've still not recovered. The human psyche has been traumatized.
So human's invented religion.
God is made in man's own image.
Odd that in India it's an Elephant. Perhaps the Hindu take themselves less seriously?
That's interesting. what really puzzles me is why mankind have the need to persist on believing such a follie ideology despite the compelling scientific evidence.
