How Far Can You See?

Revelation 4:1

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”” Revelation 4:1 NKJV

The higher you go the farther you see. The higher you climb the farther you see and the clearer you hear. That’s why we put antennas for Radios and TVs on the tallest building in the city. Most times they put the satellites in space because the higher it goes, it helps for good performance of frequency and reception . The higher you climb , the easier the flight becomes, that’s why the eagles flies higher than every bird and when the eagles soar to a particular altitude and height, it doesn’t fly anymore , it just hangs and allow the wind to carry him.

The bigger plane fly at a higher altitude than the smaller plane . The smaller plane cannot go higher at the altitude the bigger plane fly because they don’t have capacity to go that height.

“Go up this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, across from Jericho; view the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel as a possession;” Deuteronomy 32:49 NKJV

Everybody can be at the level where you are . It is common to remain where you are but it is uncommon to climb a mountain because it takes inner tenacity , spiritual intensity, some efforts, courage, attitude, commitment, determination and skills. Mountain climbing is not for babes. God has something for us up the mountain. How far you see and what you get is determined by your position and level.

Joshua went with Moses but Joshua got to a point and didn’t go that far to the level Moses went to. Moses said come with me and when they got to a particular point of the mountain, Moses said Joshua, you stay here and I’m going up and Moses went up the mountain

Now, there was a noise and confusion in the valley and Moses heard and saw clearly what was going on there, when Moses get to the level of Joshua , Joshua said to Moses , there is a sound of war in the valley but Moses said NO , it is not a sound of war. You are hearing the sound of war because of the level you are but I’m not hearing the sound of war because I’m at a higher altitude, so I hear clearly and see farther than you because of the level you are.

Your level determines how you interprete the events of life and the circumstances of life .Joshua heard the sound of war and Moses heard something else.

Moses went up to the top of mountain for 6 days and Bible said he was covered in the cloud of God’s glory and he saw the cloud of God’s glory but the children of Israel saw fire on top of the mountain because they were in the valley . They saw fire because of their position. Your position determines your perception . How you see is determined by your level.

Luke 9:28-36

“Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening. And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep; and when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who stood with Him. Then it happened, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said. While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. But they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.” Luke 9:28-36 NKJV

Jesus took Peter, John and James up to the mountain to pray. They had a new experience when they go higher, they were over shadowed by the cloud of glory and experienced what no other disciples experienced

Abraham found provision in place of his son on top of the mountain and not in the valley.

Moses won the battle against the Amalekites with his hands lifted up on the mountain.

If you are going to win victories in the valleys of life , you got to know how to go up the mountain from your knees and in the study of the word of God (Bible)

Peter went up to pray and got several revelations.

Acts 10:9-16

“The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.” Acts 10:9-16 NKJV

He that is from above is above all
