Introduction.
The Dhammapada, an anthology of verses attributed to the Buddha and recognized as one of the masterpieces of early Buddhist literature. belonging to the part of the Theravada Pali Canon of scriptures known as the Khuddaka Nikaya, consisting of 423 verses, and is arranged in 26 chapters by topic.
Well there are many good things we can gain from Dhammapada, so I thought of publishing verse by verse for you.All the verses are related to a story.
Exp . verse 1 related to Cakkhupalatthera Vatthu story.
Chapter 1 -Yamakavagga (Pairs)
Verse 1 - based on "Cakkhupalatthera Vatthu" Story
Manopubbangama dhamma
manosettha manomaya
manasa ce padutthena
bhasati va karoti va
tato nam dukkhamanveti
cakkamva vahato padam.
Meaning -
one speaks or acts with an impure mind, suffering follows even as the cartwheel
follows the hoof of the ox (drawing the cart).

I dont really understand this quote, could you help me interpret it.
I did a vipassana retreat some time ago. And we learned that we clear our mind through meditation and so let go of past pains. But one has to experience those meditations to reach enlightmant and free ourselves from the suffering we bare in our bodies.
Isnt that experience as well?
yes your correct.we should let go the past pain,
this verse explains about the pain (suffer) that we will gain if we do wrong things, "If one speaks or acts with an evil mind, 'dukkha' follows him just as the wheel follows the hoof print of the ox that draws the cart."
