What Is God's Grace About? | 5 Things You Should Know
God's grace is the ultimate gift made possible by the perfect and pure sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
To understand what is God's grace about I have some Bible verses to share with you, but first checkout my snapshot of 5 things you should know about God's grace...
5 Things You Should Know About God's Grace
1 God's grace is instant:
When you decide to take serious that Jesus died to save you from your sins (evil deeds), embrace Jesus as your Lord and Savior and repent (apologize to God) of your sins then you are an instant recipient of God's grace.
2 You are justified by God's grace:
It is impossible for us to be without sin in our daily lives, but when we accept Jesus into our lives we become justified in the sight of God by His grace meaning we are no longer condemned for our sins, but found to be righteous by the power of the blood of Jesus.
3 God's grace is a FREE gift:
God's grace by the power of Jesus' sacrifice is an entirely FREE gift from God when you believe in Jesus and repent. You cannot earn God's grace by the good works that you do, but it is given freely to those who know Jesus in their hearts and try to follow in His example day by day.
4 You should be gracious and kind to others:
God is giving you His great grace for Free when you believe in Jesus and repent of your sins, so it is only good that we let the light of His grace shine through us by being kind and gracious to others.
5 You should study the Bible to learn more about God's grace:
There is so much to know from studying the Bible including about God's grace which is an expression of how much God loves you. You should dedicate time each day (about 1/2 hour) to pray and study the Bible so you will know as much as you can about the wisdom of the Bible and get to know how very much God loves you.
Let God's Grace Save You
2 Samuel 9:6-8
6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!
7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?
How do you think of God?
Do you think of yourself as a dead dog before Him?
Many times our thoughts about how God sees us is distorted and wrong.
By visiting the Scriptures daily we can learn more about God and let go of our distortions of Him.
God wants to save you by His grace and all that He requires is for you to embrace His son Jesus as the center of your life and to repent in humility. Then you can know you are forgiven by God and saved by His perfect grace.

Be A Blessing To Others
God blesses us so we can be a blessing to others as David did for Mephibosheth.
When we are a blessing to others we help them take away their negative or distorted views about how God sees them.
The grace of God is received by us and then flows to those we know and meet.
God shows me grace, so I am gracious to others.
Mephibosheth was living in shame and fear and did not know David's intentions to him, so he lived in obscurity.
We can have a similar relationship with God if we are full of sin and haven't let go of any fears and bitterness towards God.
God will show you His grace, will forgive you, will bless you and restore you in full if you come to Him in humility and repentance.
It is more than just the forgiveness of your sins; you are justified before God by the grace of Jesus Christ.
More Bible Verses About God's Grace
Romans 6:13-14
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 3:23-26
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
John 1:17
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Embrace Jesus Embrace The Bible
It is easy to say 'I am a Christian,' but are you walking the walk instead of just talk about Jesus in your everyday life?
You want to develop a 'what would Jesus do' mentality for your everyday life to avoid sin whenever we can and to know how to follow in Jesus' example.
I take every chance I get to urge people to take a 1/2 hour each day to pray and study the Bible so you learn as much as you can about the Gospel message and learn to walk the walk of Christianity.
You can read the Bible on your own, but it is also important to listen to what others say about the Bible.
You need to be a part of a Bible teaching Church and if you don't already have one, I hope you find a Church with a gifted Pastor that is a teacher of the truth of the Bible.
There are also some FREE online resources I recommend for daily study of the Bible including Dr. David Jeremiah's Daily Devotionals, Dr. J Vernon McGee's Thru The Bible and several YouTube channels featuring gifted Pastors that are good teachers of the Bible.
You can find these FREE resources by clicking here for my Online Christian Resources page.
Mastering the Word of God – Read the Bible. Study the Bible. Meditate on the Bible. Listen to what others say about the Bible. Obey the Bible. Pass the Bible on to others.
