Justice, Mercy, Humility

Micah 6:11

11 Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances,
and with the bag of deceitful weights?

In the time of the prophet Micah (around the mid- eighth century BC), the people of Judah had a problem - a huge problem - with focusing on the wrong things. The people were big on the religious rites and ceremonies laid out in the law of Moses, but they were lacking in applying God's principles for living in love toward others.

Speaking through the prophet, God let Hid people know that external acts of religion - though the law called for these things - meant nothing unless their hearts were filled with genuine love for God and they treated their earthly brothers and sisters right. In the same chapter of the book of Micah, God gave His people this vitally important and timeless message...

Micah 6:8

8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what
doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and
to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Justice, mercy and humility. Those are bedrock principles for living the Christian life. That was part of Jesus' message when He said this of the greatest commandment...

Matthew 22:37-40

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him
a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy
God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.

Hey, @deathlyhorror your post is wanderful.i really like this post.

By fulfilling the first commandment; love God above all things, our whole life is resolved.
Every day I read, at least one verse of the Bible.
Thanks for your post.

Love it!!

Beautiful religious content dear friend. God loves and protects us. Keep up your great job.

God bless you brother, Christ died on the cross as the only sacrifice for humanity because in the times of the Law, they made sacrifices but they were hypocrites. Today we do not have to make those sacrifices that were sent back then, we just have to be righteous, humble and merciful. Loving God with all our hearts and loving our neighbors as we love them.

Thank you for the useful and correct article. I also try to read the Bible. We must live according to the laws of God.

All people believe in something. but many people believe that the world is unfair to them. We need to read the Bible, be merciful and honest, learn to love ourselves and our others.

Thank you @deathlyhorror for this post

so nice
